Every learner driver wants to pass the test as soon as possible. That is the focal point of learning to drive. Of course, there is much, much more to driving safely than just passing the test. And where the test is lacking, I can show you how to really become a driver.

Getting good value out of your lessons with a driving instructor means learning to not only pass the test, but to achieve a fundamental grasp of the dynamics of safely handling a vehicle, and reading and interpreting the sometimes subtle body language of the road. This is the difference between a good driving instructor and a mere test coach. The lessons imparted by a good instructor stick with you for life.

Driving instruction is a job that’s easy to do badly.  It’s really crucial that the instructor is gentle, patient and relatable. Everyone has had that one teacher in high school that scared the students, that bad guy teacher. That’s not me. I don’t believe fear is a part of a good teacher’s toolbox.
